Approve October’s Minutes

• The minutes of the October meeting of the Board of Directors were read and approved with minor adjustments.

Winter Solstice Concert

• Franklin is meeting with Kristy Bracken to finalize speakers
• Will know number of volunteers once meeting with Kristy is over
• Call for volunteers will go out by next week
• Have not finalized split with UU group
• Stasa gets 30% net profit for singers
• Bob is backup narrator
• Singers have books
• Will mail flyers to anyone on mailing list who is not receiving email from us

World AIDS Day/Day With(out) Art

• Need drummers!
• Guaranteed 3-5 drummers – need more
• Our part of the program starts at 5:00
• Will gather an hour earlier to practice
• DVPN was listed as part of this event on Art Museum website

Board Development

• Bob is hammering on & off list
• Some bites, but no submissions
• Bob is making the rounds wt the local meetings
• Will be in announcements every month

Community Outreach Working Group

• Develop programs to attract grant money
• Series of talks
• Ecological issues
• Artistic productions
• Become known as community that needs center
• George to ID contacts and resources for watershed cleanup group

Funding Options/United Way

• Bob to find out how to designate us as a United Way recipient so we can get our membership to designate

• An individual wanted to use DVPN as an umbrella org
• Attorney advises it is common and can be done
• Organization is not ready to explore this option, but tabled the idea for later

Membership

• 88 Active Members
• Membership renewal notices went out
• Tote bags are up to date
• Renewals do not get tote bags

Newsletter

• Waiting for last minute ads
• Ongoing ads are being invoiced
• Sabrina donated artwork
• Targeted for distribution third week of December

Blood Drives

• Expect to organize one on a Saturday, mid-January time frame

Ethics

• Will be discussed by email
• Need to define roles on board as separate from roles in Pagan community
• Establish boundaries

Crystal Ball

• Moore College of Art – 2 big rooms & 2 smaller rooms
• Starts at $450 w/discount to non-profits
• William Way – more rooms renovated – larger room for 25 people, ground floor room for 75 ppl
• $35-$75 for extra room -- $250 for 2 rooms + ballroom + $2/head
• Raff top get more specifics on Moore & decision to be made by email

Community Garden

• Raff will talk to Horticultural Society after Ball quiets down
• Bob will help
