Crystal Ball

Location

Space has not been located yet.Due to the urgency of the matter in order to have the event, the Board members present agreed unanimously to contact William Way to see if space is available.Bob will contact since he’s in Center City.The Board members present agreed this will not happen with the Ball next year. 

Newsletter

No update is available as Raffaella is not present.

Funding

Bob updated Maria on the discussion we had with Tom Jaskovich at the public meeting on January 14^th.Tom has offered to work on the grant writing.He requests that we meet with him to give him specifics of what our needs are.He said that once he knows what we want he can do the research and then bring his findings to the Board.At that point we can decide which groups to target.Once we determine that, he will work on the applications themselves.

Maria said we should go for it and suggested we meet with Tom in March or early April.

Charter Committee

The Board discussed the Charter Committee’s next goal, which is to work on the membership guidelines.The committee is meeting at Bob’s at 1pm on Sunday, February 4^th.

Maria gave a status update regarding our application for the 501(c)3.All the documents for the 501(c)3 have been sent back to the IRS and now we’re just waiting to hear.

Bob advised that the Pittsburgh Pagan House has gotten their 501(c)3 status.

Projects

Concert

Maria has been trying to get in touch with Nadine from Earth Vision Weavers.Maria will try again to get in contact with her.

The Frost’s Visit

We are still trying to obtain a location for their talk.Karen Schlechter has contacted people she knows from Bryn Mawr and they suggested we contact the school.

Art Show

Bob and Paula updated Maria on the Art Show.Samantha is still very interested in holding the Pagan Art show.She discussed her ideas at length at the public meeting.She asked that a committee be formed and that she be in charge of it.Bob and Paula advised Samantha that the Board had already talked this over and approved her request in advance.We asked Samantha to submit her idea to the Board.

Pagan Prisoners

Bob advised Maria that he gave Vernon Maulsby’s letters to Samantha as her group is working on a getting books to Pagan prisoners.

Interfaith Working Group

Bob attended the Interfaith Working Group session.He feels they have a lot of good ideas but it doesn’t fit with our goals at this time.
