DVPN Board Meeting 1/10/07 Those present: Morgan Beard Bob Bruhin Franklin Evans Diana Grayfox Three Blade Jaguar 1. Previous meeting’s minutes approved. 2. Finances - Balance in bank increased by $314 from two Winter Solstice performances 3. Philadelphia Theater Alliance - Paid $75 for half-year membership - Gets us discounts on City Paper advertising, access to organization, bulk mailing list - Renewal will be due July 1st -- will seek board approval for renewal 4. PAI Web Site - Stats: 33 auctions, 46 members, 20 sellers - Bidders are mostly from the local area, including several from Salisbury, MD, but bids are coming from all over the world. Even got a mention in the La Salle University student newspaper. - Put quote from S.J. Tucker on site. 5. Pagan Pride - Looking at Labor Day Weekend date - Franklin will hold those dates at Clark Park - Working on bands, to be determined 6. Newsletter - Deadline for Spring issue is January 22nd - Diana will send column on Strega - Bob will send PAI update - Franklin may send Winter Solstice writeup - Have new advertiser, Gossamer Hawk, and Diana is also interested in advertising - Three Blade will go collect old ad money 7. Membership - Three Blade is planning to schedule membership committee meeting, and also another West Philly Pagan Potluck. - Have a benefactor member: Karen McFadden - One other renewal - Renewal letters sent 8. Board members - Leon Oboler has tentatively agreed to join the board, and will come to the February meeting. - Lela Gould is likewise interested in joining and will be at the February meeting. - Will discuss changing meeting dates when they come 9. Crystal Ball - Diana will work on recruiting planning committee 10. Summer Social - Morgan will work on putting committee together - Potential locations: Rose Tree Park in Media, Unitarian Church Grounds, Abington parks - Time frame: 2nd or 3rd weekend in July 11. Fringe Festival - August 31-September 15 - Franklin would like to do some kind of PAI-related event in addition to PPD, such as a cabaret or a simple performance             |
