Board should show up 9:30. Philly GreenMike Welch saw discussion of Philly Green. He judges for Horticultural Society. Agrees fits with Philly Green concepts. Contacts with gardeners. Raff meeting on Wednesday. Need mentors for project. Organize this Fall for Spring 2003. Space to do stuff with?? Depending on size of space, many uses. Raff doing reciprocal link and banner. Next issue early August. Collecting more ongoing articles. Raff doing push for ad sales. Paula, numbers for where newsletters go. Next deadline end of July. Circulation 2000-2500. Cost ® mailing $50+ per month. Hoping ad sales push will help cover cost of newsletter. Majority of new member signups come from newsletter. Board agreed to forego vending because of location of Pride (near Fran's shop). Board discussed option of selling ads in a program flyer. George sent email to Red Cross offering info table. Donation for food up in the air. Find sources of funding other than DVPN. Talk @ U of DMarie from U of D ® Jason back; same deal. Attendance at last talk about 20. New talk will be in Fall. Two tentative singing groups. Franklin & Stasia working on it. Sherry (worship coordinator from UU in CC) very interested. UU in CC a potential site, if: ® No cost ® Cut of gate possibly ® Church sponsored ® Way to raise funds for DVPN Franklin will foot the bill for one group. Will need two groups. Depends on cost of volume discount. Franklin not asking Board for $$ (at this time). Kimmel Center ® possible location for future solstice? 2 main theaters may not be open unless big draw. Would probably be offered Atrium. Invite them to see show. ® Great space for our needs. ® Part of Solstice programming. Annual MeetingSet for Feb. 9th. (voted on: all in favor, none opposed) Annual meeting for us to elect officers, and for the government. Concept of building an “Advisory Board” in order to obtain input from community leadership, was floated and tabled. Annual Meeting encourages people to get involved.
