DVPN Board Meeting 7/12/06 Those present: Morgan Beard Bob Bruhin Franklin Evans Nancy Lebovitz George Reinhart Three Blade Jaguar 1. Minutes from last meeting approved. Morgan will post on site. 2. Discussion of whether or not to advertise DVPN in Natural Yellow Pages. Franklin will find out distribution (# of issues and locations), cost, etc. 3. Summer Social Northeast Times will be sending a reporter and photographer to Summer Social. They have been given strict instructions not to photograph anybody without permission. Will talk to Franklin, Morgan, and members of Red Crescent Path coven, possibly others if interested. City Paper was planning to run Agenda item starting this Thursday (7/13) Morgan to bring membership forms, list of participating artists, schedule to hand out, pad of paper to collect e-mail addresses, back newsletters, plus items discussed at membership committee meeting. Morgan to send reminder to List of Lists. 4. Pagan Pride Original idea of reserving a block near South Street nixed because of ongoing construction. PPD to be held in Clark Park in West Philly. Three Blade will give reference to Franklin. Date is Sunday, September 10 Scheduled activities: handout stand, artist exhibition, public ritual, food drive to benefit the Mazzoni Center Franklin to begin giving reports to regional coordinator. 5. Newsletter Deadline for next issue is end of July. Morgan to be reimbursed $500 for printing of previous newsletter. (Ad revenue still being collected.) Morgan to cut all non-current members from mailing list. Will send cut list to Franklin; he will send letter to the list nudging them to join. Three Blade is collecting social notes like births, marriages, life changes, condolences. If you know of anybody who should be included, send contact info to him. Discussion of testing paid subs to see if we get any bites. Agreed on $10/year, $15/ two years. Potential for library subscriptions -- getting people to pay for subscriptions for their local library. Ask Diana if that’s considered okay in the library world. Content for next issue: something about VA campaign; reviews of Four Quarters events, FSG, and PSG. 6. Pagan Arts Initiative Thinking about winter solstice -- potential of doing something with Kimmel Center. Franklin is following up. Bob is upgrading PAI site. 7. Crystal Ball Possible collaboration with Gaia mind? (Trance music/rave sort of event) Three Blade to check with Wayne about Crystal Ball and see if there’s any interest in collaboration. 8. New Board Members Franklin to approach potential candidates 9. Bank Balance Currently $1205. Board agreed to reimburse Morgan $500 for past newsletter.             |
